The Art of Storytelling: Melissa Rolli’s Journey to Creative Excellence
A self-described “recovering journalist,” Melissa once wrote for Woodmen Edition, eventually rising to masthead writer. Her work also appeared in local papers like the Cheyenne Edition, and several of her articles and photographs were syndicated to The Gazette, a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper. Notable pieces include “Rising Professionals Seeks to Engage Young Voters with Competition,” “Wounded Warriors Cycle to AFA on Adapted Rides,” and “KISS Honors Local Vets During Show.”
In recent years, Melissa traded headlines for heartlines, stepping away from journalism to dedicate herself fully to her creative writing. Her journalistic background gives her stories a sharp eye for detail, while her natural gift for storytelling fills them with warmth, humor, and emotional depth. Her short fiction has appeared in a number of anthologies. Her upcoming LitRPG series is set to be published by Cannon Publishing, and her award-winning children’s chapter book series, Cruise of a Lifetime, is published under the pen name Lisa M. Rolli.
